Hello from my snow-covered home! I try not to talk all about the weather, but I kind of do because Central Arkansas is not built for this much snow. Regardless I manage to share some blog updates (three new posts!), and give a quick shoutout to my worldwide audience - YOU are why I do this at all 💙💙

E45: Almost 11” of Snow & Small Updates

Welcome back everybody!
Lady Jupiter Podcast is the audio accompaniment to LadyJupiter.com a lifestyle blog where I write about my family’s military life, our home life, casual fashion, and travel when possible. I’m happy that you’re here with me.
In this episode I’ll share an update on our life as affected by the U.S. military, continue with a blog update, then wrap up with my most recent domestic diversion.

Today in our military-affected lives I have nothing significant to update.
Everything is frozen this week. Literally. Last week we had an ice storm, then temperatures below freezing since then. The snow started the day before yesterday and will be on and off for the rest of the week. This only affects our military lives in the immediate short term - because Mister Jupiter needs to fly…and it’s hard for him to do his job when we’re snowed in. But bad weather doesn’t change our long term goals and current plans.
Luckily this frozen water business is affecting most of the United States, so we’re not the only ones getting out the snow jackets, making hot cocoa, and making the best of a winter-weather-related lock down. Otherwise we got almost eleven inches (27 centimeters) of snow today, and a bigger snow storm is due in a few more days. Temperatures between the snows will remain very cold and not likely to melt - so that’s nice. Hopefully it’ll start melting before I record the next episode.

For today’s LadyJupiter.com update…
I managed to upload three entire things since last week; it’s a miracle. I posted one Daily Jupiter Page, a fresh picks of the week (Picks № 6 talks about sparkling wine, tiny diary pages, my casual to-do list, a favorite podcast, and my beloved Whole Foods Market home deliveries). And lastly, I even finished writing a post that I started three months ago titled Five Favorites on Steak Night where I detail my favorite source, seasoning, cooking method, and talk a tiny bit about wine and glassware. Links are in the show notes to all three posts!

And now for my most recent domestic diversion
I can’t really tell you why I have been unable to fold the clean laundry…it’s not secret, I just need to use the kid’s nap time to do something different each day. One day I’ll write, another day I take a long shower, the next day I am researching recipes and trying to meal plan…and what not. So the summary is that my domestic diversion are all other domestic tasks - so I obviously don’t feel much guilt over the laundry. Besides - thanks to our recent snowfall gas and electric companies across the country are asking us to turn down our thermostats and reduce our energy consumption since everyone is at home, and we don’t want rolling blackouts like Texas. So this week is going to be low in domestic productivity in the name of energy conservation.

And that’s it for today’s short show!
