E41: 21 Tasks & Fasting

Welcome back everybody!
Lady Jupiter Podcast is the audio accompaniment to LadyJupiter.com a lifestyle blog where I write about my family’s military life, our home life, casual fashion, and travel when possible. I’m happy that you’re here with me.
In this episode I’ll share an update on our life as affected by the U.S. military, continue with a blog update, then wrap up with my most recent domestic diversion.

Today in our military-affected lives I have nothing significant to update.
Some of our friends are moving this summer and are asking for recommendations in their new cities. For the record we are staying put - our next PCS won’t be for a few more summers, so I actually have time to downsize and upgrade things.
So besides watching various friends prepare to move all over the world, we’re just waiting for COVID-19 vaccines. Mister Jupiter will definitely get his before I get mine, but that’s all we know. Hopefully these coming months will have many happy jabs for all of us.

For today’s LadyJupiter.com update…
I uploaded one post! I finally nailed down my 21 in 2021 task list, and wrote a short post about it. Without speaking that post to you I will simply share the list - so in this Year of Covid 2021 the 21 things I have promised myself I would do are

Donate textiles to H&M, curate coffee mugs, upgrade shallow bowls, donate to all free little pantries in my town (eight total), clean out my cosmetics, clean out old spices, clear out three rolling racks, finish the repair of one pie dish, return to Amazon’s top 1,000 reviewers, hang more art, practice digital drawing, make space for a Glowforge, treadmill 10 minutes several times, treadmill 20 minutes several times, treadmill 30 minutes several times, donate again to H&M, curate travel mugs & water bottles, fill and send a bag to ThredUP, relax to some internet yoga several times, and write five new evergreen posts for the blog.

So far zero tasks have been completed since the full list was determined and printed. I’m going to try to tick some boxes this week, specifically regarding donations and treadmill use. I use our treadmill (an older model ProForm - affiliate link in the show notes) for incline walking but have gotten out of the habit, so I needed some easy targets, and I can make space for ten minutes of walking this week.

And now for my most recent domestic diversion
I don’t have anything specific again. So I’ll just tell you about my current fast.
Mister Jupiter has been home a lot, so for me everyday feels like Saturday which is nice in some ways, but not when I eat like it’s the weekend everyday.
So to help counteract the frequent indulgent meals I’m having a nice long fast. I started fasting daily last year and I love eating one meal a day, but my recent habits were making my pants noticeably tight, so it was time to change things up. Besides, I haven’t been getting into that good daily ketosis anymore, so that’s my goal with this fast - to remind my body that it has plenty of available fuel by removing options. It only sounds like torture if you’ve never fasted, so you will just have to believe me that I am simply not hungry and I feel great.
You may notice that I haven’t said my goal or current fasting hours -that’s not an accident. I might tell you when you’re older. Either way -the last time I was this size I was pregnant. And since Kid Jupiter has been on the outside for two years, I am really tired of being this size since I’ve been smaller all of my life until recently. So that’s all I’m doing here - just letting my digestive tract have a break, while letting my body use some of the fat that it so thoughtfully put aside for a rainy day.
