Episode nineteen is a quick update about spying on a new house, and making time to write again. It's not much, but it's something that I enjoy. Share Lady Jupiter Podcast with a friend, I'm on most platforms fine podcasts are found. I'll be back next week with more tales of chore avoidance.

Episode Nineteen: Our Neighborhood & Writing

Welcome back everybody!
Lady Jupiter Podcast is the audio accompaniment to LadyJupiter.com a lifestyle blog where I write about my family’s military life, home stuff, my low maintenance beauty and fashion, and travel when possible. I’m happy that you’re here with me.
Today I’ll share an update on our life as affected by the U.S. military, follow on with a blog update, then wrap up with my most recent domestic diversion.

Today in our military affected lives I have nothing significant to update.
We live in a normal neighborhood off-base, an average un-gated suburban subdivision with new houses going up everyday. Most of our neighbors are civilians, but about one in ten is in the military, even spread of officers and enlisted that I am aware of. From my back porch I can see three new houses going up on the next street over, and it’s exciting because we already know one of the future neighbors - and *ahem* if you’re listening - your new roof looks great.
So besides watching a friend’s house get built, our military affected lives are the same. Mister Jupiter works long hours and I try to provide him with lunch on his flying days. Last flight I made him some chili for dinner and some antipasto for lunch.

For today’s LadyJupiter.com blog talk…
I added FOUR new posts since we spoke last! One post about Sephora skincare, one about my daily supplement and light routines (that one was promised in Episode 14), the most recent intermittent fasting update, and a public note-to-self about my favorite (and least favorite) legging purchases online. Despite knocking out four new posts, I dreamed up another five…so I still have over 40 posts that need writing, editing, links, and photos.

And now for my most recent domestic diversion
It’s clear that instead of folding the laundry or writing up show notes I have been writing and pushing out new posts on LadyJupiter.com!
While it sure would be nice to have a perfectly tidy house at all times, I let the house suffer so that I do a little something for me. And that something for me is certainly blogging about whatever I choose. Besides, could I even call myself a writer if I didn’t write? My blog generally has four main topics that I try to write about equally (those topics are military, travel, home, then beauty & fashion), but I have been medium struggling to find new things to write about that aren’t beauty and fashion. I’m no beauty blogger, but it’s the only thing I can really do. Our military lives are pretty static right now, I can’t travel, and I feel like I’ve exhausted my home related posts - but I’m sure to generate new ideas after I write about why we don’t live on base, and how we pick investment properties. I suspect that those will take at least six months to write (working in the short bursts of time that I have), so don’t hold your breath waiting on those. This is why I take silly Outfits of the Day photos - those posts give me something that is easy to accomplish, and I still get to write and share something, so it’s not all busy work.
One day in many years, when Kid Jupiter goes off to school (assuming that it’ll eventually be safe again), I look forward to auditing college classes, and maybe collecting another degree or two. I don’t miss doing homework all of the time, but it sure was a great way to avoid folding the laundry.

And that’s it for today’s show!
