Episode 10 clarifies a travel radius nuance that I forgot to mention last week, plus a warning that LadyJupiter.com will be experiencing a temporary slow down, and closes with details about my new Daily Spa Hour. Don't forget to join me on Facebook - sometimes I post things there, but not often because we all have better things to do. Facebook.com/ladyjupiterdotcom if you're looking for a new page to stalk.

Episode Ten: Sleeping at Night

Welcome back friends!
Lady Jupiter Podcast is the audio accompaniment to LadyJupiter.com a lifestyle blog where I write about my family’s military life, also travel, home stuff, and my low maintenance beauty and fashion. I’m happy that you’re here with me.

Today I’ll share an update on our life as affected by the military, follow on with a blog update, then wrap up with my most recent domestic diversion.

Fair warning - this episode is short and barely edited because I am pressed for time tonight.

Today in our military affected lives I have nothing significant to update.
Mister Jupiter has managed to get himself a few days off - just enough time to try to do some outdoor tasks without rain…mostly. But not enough to travel - Oh that reminds me. The travel restrictions I talked about last episode are due to COVID-19, normally if he can take time off from work we can go anywhere in the world. Travel radii (especially ones that apply to spouses) is only a pandemic protocol and not normal otherwise. Apologies for not clarifying that last week!

For today’s LadyJupiter.com blog talk…
I Updated Closet Progress Photos...about 20 days later than intended (link in the show notes, at LadyJupiter.com/podcast, scroll down to Episode ten).

Meanwhile I am trying to cope with my lack of writing time. I started this year writing two new posts each week in addition to updates like adding new images for Pinterest. I also was doing this all at night, going to bed at 3am, and waking up exhausted. This month I have barely squeezed out one update a week because I am trying to sleep at night. This has been met so far with partial success. The problem is that I am most creative and motivated to write after midnight, so I’m going to bed when I want to be up…and my general computer use has declined so that’s interesting for me because I need to carve out time to archive photos and maintain my backups - tasks that I could easily do weekly (like my old comics at diurnatango.wordpress.com), but are no longer easy because I’m not at my computer for six hours each day, or whatever my normal usage was.

Either way, blog updates will continue to trickle in, but the rate will be slow (like now, one update each week) until the toddler can entertain himself again, or he is old enough to go to school…so it may be a while and I need to accept this reality. I guess my saving grace is that i’m doing it all for free (including this podcast) so nobody is holding me to any publication schedule. The problem is that I love writing, and I don’t have time for it because I also love seeing my baby, seeing my husband, cooking, and bathing. So until I can squeeze more hours out of nowhere, expect LadyJupiter.com to slow down…but NOT shut down.

And now for my most recent domestic diversion nothing too interesting. I am slowly writing several posts, and one is about my most recent Sephora order. I wanted to try some new stuff, so I figured that I would document and write about it too. So each day when Kid Jupiter goes down for a nap I have a spa hour and I love it. I leisurely wash and moisturize my face with the new products, then spend some time under my red LED lights because I am obsessed with red light therapy - also known as photobiomodulation. Then I sometimes unwrap a single-use face mask, pour a coffee, and have an extra hydrating nappuccino with the dogs before the young one wakes up. If I’m smart I’ll start a load of laundry before I even wash my face…but I often forget.

And that’s it for today’s show! Show notes and transcript will be available in a few days on LadyJupiter.com/podcast

Today I want to plug my blog’s facebook page. There’s a divide between people who think a page is more effective, or a group, and opinions lately are leaning towards group…but I don’t think we’re there quite yet - and that’s okay. I like the idea of posting things for occasional comments, but I don’t spend all day on Facebook and I know you have better things to do too. So if you’re cool with sparse updates, “like” my facebook page for sporadic engagement. facebook.com/lady jupiterdotcom. Notice that the dot com is spelled out - but if you’re driving right now you can pop over to the blog at LadyJupiter.com, and there’s a link to the facebook page there in the side bar.

Meanwhile, I’ll be back next week. Drive safe, and wear your sunscreen every day. Bye!
