Episode № 77 New Blog Posts, New Chair
Welcome back everybody!
Lady Jupiter Podcast is the audio accompaniment to LadyJupiter.com a lifestyle blog where I write about my family’s military life, our home life, and other tiny details that I just like to share. I’m happy that you’re here with me.
In this episode I’ll share an update on our life as affected by the U.S. military, then continue with a blog update, and wrap up with something domestic.
Today in our military-affected lives I have nothing significant to update.
Since we last talked I went to Las Vegas to attend another Weapon School graduation. I haven’t been to one in about five years, so it was refreshing getting to see firsthand that Las Vegas is pretty much the same.

I might release a special episode just about that weekend if I get the time. Because as usual time is the one thing that I do not have much of - I have a million plans, and even more ideas, I just don’t have the time to do anything about most of them.
That said, our military lives are mostly the same. We do not know where we will be PCSing next year. But I do know that I want us to downsize just a little bit before we actually leave. Luckily downsizing is something that can be done regardless of future locations.
Mister Jupiter’s school is welcoming the next graduating class, and I look forward to meeting as many of the new students and their families this year.

Since last episode I actually published three brand new things!

- So I Bought…a Lumen, and
- Attempting the Perfect PCS, Take Five
Picks of the Week № 25 will remain as is, and no longer be updated. The other two however both will be updated later this year.
The post about Lumen will get an update later this month when my paid subscription runs out (so I can show everybody what it’s like when the device gets bricked). Then Attempting the Perfect PCS, Take Five will slowly be updated over the next 12 to 16 months. Updates will come in as things change, and I will continue updating until we’re mostly settled into our next home so I can close that blog post with a clear look back on what did and didn’t work, and what challenges were new for us.
And lastly something domestic.
Nothing particularly special has been going on lately. It’s just the middle of the summer, we are spending a lot of time indoors because Arkansas in July is very hot, very humid, and I am the only one in the family with adequate allergy medication to breathe outdoors. So we stay in because we all enjoy breathing with little difficulties. Also - staying indoors mitigates most insect bites, avoids sunburns, and it keeps our geriatric dogs happy because they know where we are.
Meanwhile, I bought Kid Jupiter a new chair, and now we’re all eating at the dining room table again. We love it, and I only wish that I bought it sooner. If nothing else I will put a link to it in the show notes at ladyjupiterpodcast.wordpress.com. The Kid loves having his own little chair, especially the freedom to get up and down as he sees fit. I like it because it’s new, fun, and entirely indoors.
